While in the Mississippi Delta, working on “Down and Out in the South”, I wanted to share this photo with y’all who are interested in my work. I made this not entirely serious tribute to Leonardo da Vinci at the request of the poetry club of Judith Schut and friends in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It has been published in a booklet of poems (concentrating on their favorite materials and objects), on the occasion of the club’s 20th anniversary.
